Potty Training, Yuck!
For the past few days we have been trying to work with Parker on using the potty. She had been doing a really great job of just sitting on the potty and saying she went. She had been just sitting on the potty at school too. On Friday, I had her on the potty before she went to bed and all of the sudden she went! I was going nuts then Jeff was going nuts. We were giving her candy before bed and we didn't even care! So we have continued putting her on the potty and slowly but surely she will potty every now and then. We aren't pooping in the potty but we are getting there. Today we were home sick and I made sure to put her on every thirty minutes or so and she had used the potty 4 times today! She didn't have an accident until nap time and when she pooped but she sure wasn't happy about that one! We are slowly but surely getting there. We aren't in panties yet, Hannah, but we are getting there! I'm so proud of you Parker!!

Wagon Rides and VASELINE
When we got back to Conway, Jeff decided to put together the wagon that his parents had bought for the grandkids. Parker was so excited for it to be ready and she chipped in to help daddy put it together as well. She had so much fun in that thing but after a while she wanted to be in charge of the pulling and would have nothing else but that! She is so demanding and I have NO idea where she gets it from!
Now on to the drama of the weekend. Friday night, Parker was playing the back room with her aunt and cousin and she suddenly runs out with a tub of vaseline! Her face and neck are extremely shiny but oh! just wait, there is more! There is vaseline in her scalp at least two inches thick! What in the world is going on here? After a moment of freaking out, I run her to the bathtub to try and "wash" out the greasy that has engulfed her head but no such luck. After four washings with regular shampoo and one with Dawn dish soap, yeah thats right, no luck!
Before the attempt at the first set of washings
and.... SUCCESS!! Cornstarch is the way to go if your kid ever gets vaseline in their hair! DO NOT try anything else.

By Saturday, her hair was litterally in stick form. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. So I put her back in the bathtub for round two of the shampooing to no avail! Sunday morning, we repeat the process all over again but no such luck. This time we tried getting a little more creative and used mayonaise this time. I thought we had taken a picture of that but I guess not. Again, we failed.
Finally, Monday morning before work we tried our last resort, CORNSTARCH!

Hot Springs Anniversary
Jeff and I weren't able to celebrate our first anniversary until this past Thursday, even though it was the 15th. We decided since we were heading to Conway this past weekend that we would ask the wonderful sister-in-law, Cinnamon, to do a little babysitting for us so we could celebrate for at least one night. She agreed, of course, so we knew Parker was taken care of. We weren't for sure where we wanted to go but we knew that we wanted to get away! We decided on spending the night in Hot Springs and do a little sight seeing the next day. We didn't get there until pretty late Thursday night, so of course nothing was open since it was during the week. We got a room at the Arlington since I have never stayed there and Jeff thought it was a neat place to stay. Once we got there, we were starving so we had to do a little walk down Central before we found Porterhouse, a steak place, and were actually able to eat. Thank goodness they were open until 11 or it would have been Papa John's in the room! After dinner, we decided to watch some of the older couples there dance a bit while we sipped on some drinks. It is so much fun watching older people dance. They are just too cute for words!
We got up pretty early on Friday and decided to have breakfast in the hotel and then take a walk down the street to check out all of the shops and the park. Of course, since we are the silly people we are, we had to go into the Wax Museum. For all the times my dad told me "No, I'm not wasting my money on that." We wasted our money! Of course, total let down but worth it. Finally, we headed for the race track since Jeff had never been to the horse races. It was such a pretty day and a little bit of a bummer that we couldn't stay for the rest of the races but we had to get back to the rug rat! We had a great time and I'm so glad we got a way for a while. I didn't take too many pictures but there area few good ones!

Birthday Party!
Saturday, we had Parker's birthday party at the school I work at because they have a gym with a climbing part as well as a bounce house. I knew the kids would love that. I had been extremely stressing out over everything from the food, cake and if kids were going to come to her party. I hadn't received any RSVP's so I was stressing out but it all turned out great. Jeff kept telling me I had way too much food but it turned out I almost didn't have enough!! Good thing I don't listen to him, lol. Parker had a great time and was so happy to see her Mimi and Papaw and Aunt Marjle. Aunt Marjle kept her occupied in the climbing gym and she loved that. All the kids seemed to have a great time and her cake turned out wonderful. Thanks everyone for all the presents and all the help!
Birthday Dinner
Thursday, we decided to take Parker to a birthday dinner at Chic Fil A and then she played in the play place afterwards. Of course, she decided to be a complete TERROR during dinner and was throwing things left and right while screaming at the top of her lungs, yep she's 2! All was well after she got into the play place. She had a great time and loves to watch older kids while they are playing in there. We didn't make it too fancy since she is crazy most of the time. She had a great time and that is all that matters.
Early Birthday Presents
We decided to give Parker a few of her presents a day or so early, mainly because I wanted to play too! We didn't buy much this year because our house is being taken over by toys. She loves art and coloring and painting so we bought her paintbrushes with the paint inside, AquaDoodle, MagnaDoodle and bathtub crayons and markers. I have a few pictures of her playing in her new gifts and looking cute!
Happy Anniversary
I know everyone wants to see pictures from Parker's birthday party but that is coming soon. I couldn't go today without posting about mine and Jeff's 1 year anniversary. Yes, I know, we have been together for almost 8 years but we have only been married 1 year of it! I love him so very much because he is a wonderful father and husband and does everything possible to make sure that we are happy. I hope that we have many, many more years of happiness. I just hope that I can make him as happy as he has made me.

Happy Birthday Parker!
My baby turned 2 today, *tear*. I can't believe it has been two years already. She had a little party with brownies at school today and we took her to Chic fil a for dinner a little play time. Even though she was AWFUL, she had a good time. I took a few pictures, yes I remembered my camera, so hopefully I'll post some good ones soon.

Poor Parker
Jeff let me know on Friday that Parker had been really upset and cranky and he wasn't sure what to do with her. She had an extremely runny nose, cruddy eyes and a cough. Allergies, right? Okay. So, yesterday we are about to head to Sam's and she is extremely cranky and whiny. It wasn't exactly nap time so we tried to get that started. She started telling me "ear hurt mommy" She wouldn't lay on her left ear or let me touch it. I felt like she was six months old ALL over again. Couldn't console her in the least bit. Gave her some Tylenol and off to sleep she went. She woke up from her nap feeling a lot better or at least it seemed like it. She had a hard time going to sleep last night but that could have been from the time change. She ended up waking up four more times in the night which is so not like her anymore. I comtemplated on not taking her to school today and ended up making an appointment today to just check her ears out. She has tubes so it is a little worrisome when your child has ear problems after the tubes! Dr. Gregory checked her out and said the left ear was definitely red and swollen. There was also some pus around her ear drum. The downside in both ears is that they are covered in wax so she couldn't see the tubes AT ALL! At least on Wednesday we are going to see her ear specialists and we can try to figure out what is going on. Are the tubes in there or not? I'm not looking forward to more ear infections that is for sure! She is on antibiotics so hopefully we can take care of that darn ear ache!

Razorback Baseball
Before I start, I forgot my camera, again!!! I had my mind all prepared to bring the camera and I dropped the ball. We decided to head to the baseball again on Friday since the weather was so nice. Everyone else thought the same thing because it was packed. Parker seemed to have a lot of fun just watching all of the people and playing around. She was extremely well behaved which made it a much better trip. I am a little worried about her runny nose and extremely watery eyes though. I'm hoping I can get her into an Allergist to see if we have something going on with that.
Parker's birthday is Thursday and I can hardly believe it. She is actually moving to the next class up at school and I was not prepared for that in the least bit. I can't believe she is getting so big!

Old Pictures
**Side note, it is taking the pictures FOREVER to load so there is only a few going up. Hopefully, I can post more soon. There are tons of great ones of Parker.
Casino, Here I Come!
Saturday, we left for Joplin and Downstream casino but a little snow and ice gave us a major scare on our trip up. I was driving so of course, I was absolutely freaking out, especially when we passed a wreck with a man in the ditch! We weren't prepared for that type of weather but it didn't slow down our night! We got to the casino and start drinking immediately! I needed a drink after that drive. We had a nice time just hanging around in the room before heading downstairs to gamble. If you didn't know, I haven't never been to a casino of any kind, so, needless to say, I was super pumped. I didn't win any money but that's okay. I had a blast! I can't wait to go again. I didn't take many pictures because we weren't allowed to take pictures inside the casino, bummer I know.
Bubba's Track Meet
Friday, Bubba (Mat) had an indoor track meet in Fayetteville so we were able to see Mimi and Papaw and watch Bubba run really fast. I missed his first event since I was at work but Jeff and Parker were there to root him on. He placed 4th in the 60 m hurdles, placed 2nd in the quarter, attempted the triple jump and then their team won the mile relay at the end. DeQueen won the track meet for the boys so great job Bubba!!
