Crazy Week!

Well, this week has been another crazy week and I don't think that it will calm down much. I finished my second week of work and Parker's second week of school. It didn't end on a great note though. Parker woke up this morning vomiting all over the joint, well mostly on me, but it was not a pretty sight. I'm guessing it is because she has been out of daycare for about six months and has been home with me instead but now we are around all of those little boogers carrying all of the germs! She started feeling much better later in the day and I'm so happy. Next week, "school" will actually start at Pinecrest. For the past two weeks, it has just been a summer schedule but now we are heading into the fall schedule and a rotation with our students. I'll be teaching Math and Science and I'm a little nervous about it. I do, however, have a lot of cool activities for them to do but I just hope they like it! Tomorrow morning, Parker and I are driving to DeQueen to visit the family for Labor Day. Jeff works all weekend so we thought it was a great time. He doesn't have to work Monday so we are heading back pretty early Monday morning so we can spend the day with him. I have a few pictures but just haven't put them on here yet. That is all for now! Have a great Labor Day!

Boo Boo

Here lately Parker has become extremely attached to one of her stuffed animals, a puppy, to be exact. He or she has been going everywhere with us and she has dubbed the name Boo Boo for him. I think it is terribly cute right now but I'm sure it will become a hassle pretty soon. She sleeps with the puppy, carries him everywhere and takes him into stores so I'm sure this little guy is going to get nasty pretty soon. I have a picture of her dragging the puppy around this morning after she woke up. How cute!

Geeze!!

Why doesn't anyone tell me when I make grammatical errors on my blog!!! I'm a teacher for pete's sake. That shouldn't be happening but instead I look like a goof who doesn't know how to write or type for that matter. Glad I saw it before too many people could make fun of me! Oh, for those of you who are interested. I have almost finished my first week at the private school. I absolutely hated it my first day but it has progressively gotten better and I'm glad. I'm hoping week two will be even better. Kids are wonderful but I believe they need some discipline sometimes! Not by me, :).

Silly Us

Yes, our shirts are matching!

Such a lovely family! :)

Visiting the Williamson Girls

Today, Parker and I went to visit Boni, Hannah and Emma and it was a blast like usual. They tore up everything in sight and enjoyed every second of it. I got a few good pictures of all of the girls so enjoy all of their cuteness!

Rants and Raves

I'm in a mood where I am frustrated that I will not be in my own classroom and teaching my own students like those who received their degree in education and were able to start teaching almost immediately after graduating. Instead, I attended the University of Arkansas where they require you to be a part of their MAT or Masters in Teaching program right after you graduate and then you can start teaching. Well, what about those who can't afford to take a year of graduate courses, not work and be in a school ALL day without pay? Yes, that was the boat I was in. Two years later and I am still not teaching because of stipulation after stipulation regarding the licensure program through Arkansas. One would think that going through a degree program in education would be enough but sadly it is not in the state of Arkansas. They require extra classes and a load of crap. So instead, I'll be starting at a private school tomorrow or a glorified daycare. Here's to education and here's to the U of A!

The New Camcorder!

I had been taking pictures as well as videos with our new camcorder for the past couple of weeks but last night we FINALLY decided to put them on the laptop. They turned out really well for it not being a regular digital camera. I thought I would put up some of the pictures that we have taken so far. I won't be putting up videos just yet because we are still trying to get the editing and such down. Hope you like them.

Pictures as Promised

Sadly, these were the only pictures that I took the ENTIRE time we were in Conway this past weekend. Sad I know, but it is hard for me to remember to whip my camera out. Hopefully, I can be better about it.

Job Update

This past week, I was offered a job at Pinecrest Private School in Bentonville with a teaching position but there is a job that I also interviewed for in Fayetteville at another pre-school that I'm really hoping will call with great news. There are positives and negatives to both jobs but Fayetteville is closer and will pay quite a bit more. The positive to Pinecrest is that Parker would be able to stay at the same place and I would receive half off my tuition for her. I have been blessed this past week with great news but I'm just hoping for one more bit of great news. To stay in Fayetteville and hopefully make a little more money!!! Wish me luck everyone! I definitley need it now.

Family Visit

This past weekend, we all took a trip to Conway to visit Jeff's family. It was the first time in a long while that there hasn't been a house full and it was kind of nice just to have a little peace and quiet. We were able to spend some time with Cinnamon, Jeff's sister, and that was always a wonderful time. Love ya Cin! We were also able to have dinner with my other wonderful sister-in-law, Amy, Friday night as well. Of course, since there wasn't too much excitement going on and it rained most of the time, I didn't get many pictures, if any good ones at all. I'll post what I did take soon! Jeff and I worked hard like we usually do when go down there. We love trying to help his parents out. Our project this time was to help clean out their garage and finally put up the boxes they still haven't unpacked. We got it down to only a couple of boxes so we were proud of ourselves. Sunday night we talked Michelle and her boyfriend, Blake, into coming to Conway and hanging out for a while. She hasn't seen Parker in person since she was pretty little so it was fun to catch up for a while. It was a great visit but I was a little sad that it rained a lot so there wasn't much swimming but we did make it to the hot tub a few times! It was nice to relax and we can't wait to go back. Thanks guys!

A Few Things

I thought I would mention a few things that have happened over the past few days. First off, I finished my book, "Breaking Dawn", and it was magnificent. An excellent ending to a great series. I just wish there were more books. I can look forward to the movies now though. I had devoted every free moment I had to trying to read as much as possible and I was able to finish it yesterday morning. Now, I'm on to a new book and hopefully it will be just as enjoyable.

Yesterday, Jeff and I were able to take Parker to the Aquatic Center again in Sprindale but incompetent me, I left our camera at home. So, no pictures. She had just as much fun as she did last week but she loved it even more since daddy was there. She loved the slide and went over and over again. Jeff and I were able to slide down the big slide and it was super fun until I hit the water and about lost my bathing suit as well as almost drowning to death. Yes, I know, I was a lifeguard at one point but you are powerless once the water flies up your nose and drowns you! It was super fun and I can't wait to take her back. It is definitely much easier with Jeff there to help.

Lastly, we were able to buy a new video camer so I am thrilled about being able to take good quality videos of her. We have some but they are from our digital camera so they aren't too great. At least there will be some type of video documentaion about her ever growing life. This weekend we are heading back towards Central Arkansas to visit family so I know I will have some show stopping pictures by the time we get back! Oh, and one more thing. God has blessed with me with two calls for two interviews in one day. One is for a private school and the other is for theWal-Mart Home Office. Talk about a nice day. Wish me luck and I'll have more news soon!

Temper, Temper!

Look out everyone!! Don't get in Parker's way because we are developing a serious anger management issue. I'm not for sure if it goes along with trying to learn new things and master these things but if it isn't going her way, she will let you hear about it. I really hope its a phase and I won't have to deal with a hot head for the next several years. I have seen those people and definitely don't want Parker to be one of those. Jeff and I are not like that so of course we would have a child who is. Hopefully once she is able to put her clothes, take and put the lid back on the bottle and eat using a fork, we won't have these outbursts of ferocious anger!! Btw, I know you all have been wondering and yes my book has been fantastic so far! :)

What a Goober!

Usually at 1o:30 at night I would be making my way to bed but not tonight my good friends. I am anxiously awaiting the release of "Breaking Dawn" the fourth book in the "Twilight" saga. I love, love, love this series. I know I'm a geek and should be reading books for my age group but I don't care!! So at midnight, I'm going to march or drive myself down to Wal-Mart to buy my copy. Not for sure if I"m going to start it tonight but I am so pumped just to have it in my possession. The movie for the first book, "Twilight", comes out in December and I will make sure to find a seat and watch it as soon as it comes out. I was like this with ALL of the Harry Potter books and I'm so glad that I have found a series that I like just as much. Breaking Dawn is the last book, or at least the last book from Bella's point of view, then there is a book from Edward's. I can't wait! I know you are sitting there saying a "what a freaking goober", but I don't care!! I love me some reading and some good books. :) Have a wonderful weekend all! Mine will be full of wonderful literature!
