Happy Halloween!!

Parker was very excited about going trick or treating this year and even more excited about wearing her costume. She was so happy to pick out the purple crayon. I wish I were more creative and could make her a costume but I live in reality. It just isn't going to happen, maybe next year but doubtful. We ended up driving to Conway tonight to trick or trick with the "cousits" as Parker calls them. Unfortunately, she has picked up a new song. "Trick or Treat, smell my feet, if you don't, I'll pull down your underwear". Hopefully, she doesn't start singing it at school. We picked quite a bit of candy that I know I don't need around the house!! Happy Halloween all!

Pumpkin Patch

Our crew and some of the King crew decided to load up last Saturday and go to the Mayflower pumpkin patch. The kids were so excited to ride on the little tractor train but were even more excited for the corn maze and the hayride. I was secretly wishing I could stay later for the "haunted" hayride, but it didn't quite work in my favor. Parker really liked being able to give her suggestion for turns during the corn maze and really enjoyed picking some corn for me to decorate with at home. Free decorations!! Next, we went on the hayride. It was lovely scenery but a little lengthy for a 3 year old and two 6 year olds. Everyone had a great time and hopefully we can return next year.

Quick Trip to the Zoo

The first weekend in October we decided that we should make one last trip to the zoo before it got too cold. We have been in the Little Rock area for some time and still haven't visited. We all love to see the animals and thought it would be a good way to spend the day. The weather was really nice but there was a little bit of construction going on at the zoo, which wasn't so nice. I believe our favorite animals were the gorilla and the chimpanzees. They definitely knew how to entertain us and create excellent photo opportunities. One large step for me included, petting an opossum! Enjoy!

Red Day

The last Thursday of September, Parker's class celebrated the color red. Jeff and I were able to go to her school to participate in some of the activities they were having and watch Parker during her classroom routine. She really enjoyed us being there. They did a few "red" activities such as making an apple tree, going on a red scavenger hunt and measuring using a red piece of yarn. They also had a "red" snack before going outside to play. It was really nice to send some time with Parker in her class. They actually just celebrated "Orange Day" this past Thursday but we weren't able to make it for that.
