It's Potty Time

Parker has really been interested in using the potty lately and she is getting very good at telling us she is wet and that she has pooped. She asks to sit on the potty a lot but has really yet to do anything in it. We are taking baby steps and hopefully it all clicks together soon. Tomorrow is Halloween and I'll make sure to put up all kinds of great pictures of her in her costume. Have a happy and safe Halloween!

Go Hogs!

Yesterday, being that the Hogs were playing Ole Miss, I decided to FINALLY put Parker in her cheerleading outfit that her grandma gave her a while back. She looked so cute in it and she was really proud of herself too. She wasn't too happy about the tights and she just so happened to get my iced mocha coffee all over the front of her but oh well. Here are some of the pictures that I took of her, while she would let me!

Yogurt is Yummy

Parker loves to eat yogurt and she is getting much better with the spoon but on this particular day she decided to nix the spoon and go all hands!

Family and Friends

The family and I went to DeQueen this weekend to visit our family and some of our friends. We had a great time and it was good to see some good friends. Parker and I were able to see my friends Molly and Lacey and play with their kids. Its crazy.. we were great friends and high school and our kids were playing together. Jeff, Parker and I were able to take our family pictures and I think they are going to turn out really well. It will just be a few weeks until we get them, :(. I'm so happy that I was able to go home and catch up with my family and friends and extremely excited that Jeff was able to go with me! Here are a few pictures from our "playdate".

Carson and Parker enjoying the wagon

Carson still trying to pull Parker

They were all looking at the camera!

I'm so mad!! I realized that I deleted the picture of me, Molly and Lacey!!! It was such a great picture. Molly, Hopefully you can send a copy to me. I'm so silly! At least I kept the pictures of the kids.

Snazzy

Parker has had this robe for quite some time now and we just never stopped and let her wear it. Well, last night, I thought I would try it on her and see what she thought. She loved it and she wanted me to tie the front over and over. Then I pulled out my robe, and she was even more excited when I put it on and wore it too. I managed to take a few pictures in her nice little robe. It does have characters on it and I HATE clothes with characters but she just looks so darn cute.

Upcoming Week!

There isn't anything too fancy going on this week but there will be a slight change to our schedule, which I'm a little apprehensive to at the moment. Wednesday, I start my first graduate class and I'm extremely nervous about it. It is an 8 week "Diagnostics in Reading" course so I'm certain that it will be a lot of hardwork on top of everything else that I will have going for me. Now twice a week, Jeff will have to rush from his class in Fayetteville to pick Parker up from daycare in Bentonville. It will be mad for a while but hopefully we can get through it. This means that twice a week I won't get home until at least 7:30 and won't have much time to spend with Parker, :(. But on the plus side, she will get to spend more time with her daddy and I'm sure she will love that! We are finally making a family trip to DeQueen this weekend and I'm psyched about that. It is usually just Parker and I making our way down there to visit but not this weekend, I'll keep my fingers crossed just in case. We are "planning" to have family pictures taken while we are down there and I can't wait for that. We have almost zero pictures of the three of us together. Jeff has had a busy week and weekend with tests and projects that are due so we have barely seen him due to those and working A LOT! We are looking forward to our visit to Mimi, Papaw, Bubba and Marjle and hopefully seeing other awesome folks while we are there too, this means you Lacey!

Sickness and great friends...

This week the Stearns household has been filled with sickness. That time of the year, right? Sunday, Parker and I woke up feeling yucky and spent most of the day sleeping, odd for a baby, right? Monday when we woke up, we were both feeling yucky and ended up staying at home. By that night, Parker seemed to be feeling much better but I wasn't. When I got up for work on Tuesday morning, I felt worse than the day before but I trudged on to work. By 11, I couldn't stay any longer and I knew I was feeling worse and worse. By the afternoon, I was full blown feeling awful and I honestly couldn't even take care of Parker. I have NEVER been in that condition before. I was barfing in the toilet and being followed everywhere by my child. I couldn't pick her up or console her while she watched me hacking violently and began to cry uncontrollably. I felt awful but couldn't do anything. Jeff was at work and couldn' t come or the "store would have to shut down". Good thing I have an awesome friend. Mychal came right over and took Parker with her for a few hours while I tried to rest which failed to no avail. She even fed her dinner and brought her back for me. Thank you so much! I don't know what I would have done without you. Yesterday, I woke up still feeling a bit yucky but I was mostly weak from the day before and I had awful body and headaches. Finally by last night, I felt 100% except for the stuffy nose that I still have. Suprisingly enough, I wake up this morning and Parker is running a 101 degree fever and Jeff is sick! So I guess hopefully it will pass through our house and we will be done with it! Parker's children's clinic is offereing the flu vaccine in a few weeks and we will be there ready to take that in the leg. No more sickness please!!

I've Been Tagged!

Well Thanks Boni, I'm sure there aren't seven random facts about myself but I'll try anyway. Here goes.

1. I was married in my living room on the morning of Parker's first birthday.

2. I have a sister who is 12 years younger than me and a brother who is 9 years younger than me. There is one who is 1 1/2 years younger but most people know that.

3. I am obsessed with anything pertaining to World War II or that era.

4. I am deathly afraid of mice or anything that is mouse like.

5. I can't stand dirty dishes in my sink or dirty clothes in my hamper so I am constantly doing laundry and dishes.

6. I lived in Georgia for about six months before I moved back to DeQueen permanently.

7. I like to eat fried potatoes covered in mustard.

I don't know that is random enough but that is all I've got. Almost all of my friends are tagged so I tag Mychal and Karissa.

It's Potty Time!

Here lately, Jeff and I have been encouraging Parker to sit on the potty after we change her diaper and before and after she takes a bath. She knows that we "tee-tee" in the potty but she still didn't quite understand what that was yet. After few times of peeing in the floor and me saying, Oh NO! Tee-Tee in the potty, she started to slowly figure it out. Saturday night she was diaperless, of course, and started to pee but stopped and ran to her potty and finished in the potty! I was so proud of her. Jeff thought something was wrong because I was screaming like a crazy woman! I hope she just keeps getting better with it. Yesterday, unfortunately, she and I woke up feeling like garbage, noses running all over the place and wanting to nap all day so we weren't able to keep working on using the potty. Hopefully, we will start to feel better and we can get back to using the potty some more. Sorry, no pics of her on the potty just yet. Hopefully next time!
