Let's Start the Christmas Festivities!

We had our first Christmas living in Central Arkansas this year by opening gifts at Jeff's mom and dad's house. Parker and Ki worked hard to prepare for Santa Claus. They had the reindeer food and their letter to Santa all ready to go before they went to bed. We prepared some oats and carrots for the reindeer ( we know that they get hungry) and Ki wrote a letter to Santa and Parker included her signature. It gets exciting to see Parker get a little more excited each year about Christmas.

We also started a little tradition at our house this year leading up to Christmas. We have our own Elf on the Shelf and he was named "Buddy". He made sure to keep a close eye out on Parker this year and to make sure to report back to Santa about her behavior leading up to Christmas. He made sure to leave everynight and tell Santa about Parker and would be back each morning in a new spot. Hopefully he will work a little better next year :).

Christmas Eve we stayed the night with Grandma and Grandpa Stearns and attended the Christmas Eve service at church. We prepared for Santa before sending Parker to bed and then the elves got busy getting everything ready for Christmas morning. A few elves worked extremely hard to get a certain gift ready for Christmas morning.

BAM! The finished product. What good little elves.

Christmas morning, we opened gifts at grandma and grandpa's house. We of course saved the best gift for last. Parker didn't even notice the large sacked gift until we pointed it out to her. She got all kinds of goodies from grandma and grandpa, her parents and of course Santa. She was a little timid at first to open gifts but slowly started to warm up, while sitting in her dad's lap the ENTIRE time.

Parker had a great Christmas at grandma and grandpa's and the day hadn't ended. We still went to Aunt Cinnamon's and down to De Queen to open with mimi and papaw. We can't forget grandmom's either!
