4 already??

We had Parker's 4th birthday party Saturday and I can't believe how quickly four years has gone by. If that is a testament to years to come, SLOW DOWN! There are some days I wish she would grow out of this, "don't talk to me, don't look at me, I said NO, YOU are WRONG, fit throwing, attitude slinging" mentality, but then she just wouldn't be her and it will come back during the teenage years, so why rush that?! We decided to have her party at The Little Gym and she really had a great time. We were a little apprehensive due to it being the weekend before Spring Break and EVERYONE was going out of town. We did manage to have more kids show up than we had expected and everyone had a great time. I took WAY too many pictures so I will try to cut it down..some.

Happy Birthday Parker!

On March 12, 2007, at 5:15 p.m. at Willow Creek Hospital, my precious little girl, Parker, was born. She has brought happiness and joy to my life since the second she was brought out into the world. She has been quite the challenge as well as a blessing and I wouldn't change a thing about her. She is very strong willed, intelligent, funny, caring, creative and silly. I don't know what I do without her in my life. She makes everyday worth getting up for.

Happy, Happy Birthday Parker!!! I love you!!!

If You Give a Pig a Pancake?!

While we were at the Christ Lutheran auction a while back, we bid on four tickets to see "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" at the Children's Theater and won. So, on Parker's birthday, Jeff and I took Parker and Kalayna, Parker's cousin, to watch the play. I didn't actually get any pictures inside the theater but, oh well! The girls really enjoyed it. I couldn't believe they were able to make a 12 or so page book last for an hour! I thought it was very cute and even caught myself chuckling a few times. After the play, we walked over to the pond and watched the ducks walk around, which was quite entertaining. Parker thought it would be fun to torment chase the ducks around. I did get a couple of shots of the girls around the pond.

Purple and More Purple

I'm quite behind on my blogging, but I will make an attempt to catch up since I am on SPRING BREAK!! I love saying that. During the month of February, Parker's class studied the color purple and worked with purple all month long. They usually take one day a month and dedicate it to the color of the month. The last color day I was able to go to was red and it was in..September. I am an awful mother. I took off so I could spend the day with Parker at school and help her class with their activities, snacks and play time. Parker was so proud to have me with her. She stayed by my side, showed me off to her friends and wanted to show me everything. If only my husband were that excited to have me around... ;) The kids had me read a bazillion books, and I enjoyed every second of it. I helped them create some sun catchers using paint. I had almost forgotten what it was like to work with preschool children. I wish I hadn't been reminded. Last thing that we did was go to the gym before lunch and watch them "play". It was more running around with their heads cut off throwing a ball occasionally. All good fun.

After purple day, Parker and I went by the mall and had a little bit of Chinese for lunch. Yummy! She and I had a great day together and are working on having a wonderful Spring Break too!
